Transcription Trainer — Component 4 Q1
The exam's "complete the part" question, made playable — the only tool that drills Component 4 Question 1 itself. Press play, hear a bass or drum part, then draw the missing notes onto the exact DAW piano-roll the paper uses (bar.beat header, keyboard rail, some notes given, as in 2025 Q1b bass / 2023 Q1c drums), and check against a mark-scheme-style tally with interval-aware feedback ("beat 3 — you drew F#1, it should be A1, a minor 3rd too low"). Six idiom-tagged exercises across bass and drums — four-on-the-floor, pop/rock, tom fill, root notes, E-minor riff, syncopated funk. Adaptive scaffolding that FADES per-item — High → Light → Exam level as the student succeeds, easing back when they slip — plus a listen-first gate, a 100/80/60% tempo ladder, Practice vs Exam mode (3 plays, no aids), and spaced re-test feeding an exam-readiness %. Audio synthesised in-browser from the answer (layered voices through a saturation/compression/reverb bus with groove humanisation), so every exercise is self-contained; the sampler layer is a drop-in for real recorded audio later. Self-contained single file.

Inside the Room — 3D reverb explorer
Step inside a room and watch reverb happen. A cutaway 3D room you orbit that morphs between three sizes — live room, chamber and hall — where a clap fires real image-source early reflections you can see race off the walls before the tail blooms, so early-reflections vs reverb-tail stops being a definition and becomes a picture. Toggle absorbers, diffusers and bass-traps and the Sabine RT60 re-bands live; a standing-wave lesson shows room modes stacking between the walls. Outside on the bench sit the cutaway spring and plate reverbs and a digital rack, so students see where the sound of a reverb comes from — a real space, a vibrating plate, a coil of spring, or maths. The Explore centrepiece of the Component 4 Reverb reference, built from the same FOUNDATION. Embed-first: its own compiled build under /inside-the-room/, nothing rebuilt into the platform. ~120fps; 24 unit + 15 e2e green including zero-label-overlap through a full orbit.

The Prompting Playbook — Claude Code Club
A field guide to prompting Claude, built for the Claude Code Club sixth-formers. Three tabs: BUILD — a composer that assembles a well-structured prompt (role / task / context / output / self-check) with toggles for XML tags, examples, long-material ordering and above-and-beyond effort; FIX — searchable cards for "my output is misbehaving", grouped Output / Thinking / Action / Design / Accuracy, each with a copy-paste snippet; FOUNDATIONS — the six core moves (be clear, explain why, show examples, XML tags, give a role, long material first). Reshaped from a Claude.ai artifact: API-developer material (effort param, subagents, parallel tool calls, LaTeX, test-hardcoding) cut, jargon plain-Englished, examples swapped to business/web/study, footer reframed to the Prompt→Plan→Review→Revise loop from Session 1. Self-contained editorial theme (ink/cream/gold, Fraunces/Manrope/IBM Plex Mono).

Dynamic microphone — Making Sound blueprint
FIG.002 in the "Making Sound" series. A moving-coil mic drawn in the makingsoftware.com idiom — blue isometric line-art that slowly opens into a labelled exploded view (grille → diaphragm → voice coil → magnet → XLR) and runs the live transduction (sound in → coil bobs in the field → signal out the cable). Tabs across to the tape machine. Single self-contained file, one projection engine.

Reel-to-reel tape machine — Making Sound blueprint
FIG.001 in the "Making Sound" series. A ¼-inch reel-to-reel in the makingsoftware.com idiom — opens into a labelled exploded view (deck → head block → reels) and runs the transport: spinning reels and travelling tape, heads-on-hover. Single self-contained file, one isometric projection engine.

Tape echo (Roland RE-201) — Making Sound blueprint
FIG.003 in the "Making Sound" series. A Roland RE-201 Space Echo in the makingsoftware.com idiom — opens into a labelled exploded view (control panel → head block → tape transport → spring reverb → chassis) and can be made audible: feed a guitar stab and the echo you see travelling the tape loop is the echo you hear, each head lighting on its tap. Single self-contained file, one isometric projection engine.
